Insecticides? No, the only success
Is with GM! Its GM you hear
driving away diseases just like a cure
Changing their structure to feed our needs
fruity and juicy, even without seeds
Change it to be grown, in hot or cold
Also nutritious, we are told
Better than normal variety
In theory, attractive like a flower to a bee.
Right now you may be nodding your head
agreeing with whatever I have said.
Wait! Is this.. as far as we can get!

How scientists play around with plants and genes.
There are many potential harms
GM food may bring to the farm.
not targeted species could actually die,
after ingesting toxins they could go bye-bye
Pollen spread genes to the weeds
giving them resistance and destroying the seeds
Children could get an allergic reaction
Unknown effects a cause of protection
Health warning, carcinogen
Consume these and your life will burn
But who knows if its a rumor, is it fake?
Just like swimming to the bottom of a murky lake.
Will it affect, will we live in fear
this is because the truth is unclear
Minimal experiments little research used
So many rumors, we are confused.
To listen to whom? study biology?
The whole reason: GM is a mystery!
GM food is unknown, so we fear it,
but clear up the doubts, bit by bit,
and maybe the truth would be found,
and the explanation given is sound.
We are just over catious
the thought of sickness makes us anxious
So we advance forward, moving day by day,
the reseach adds up - we wait for that day!
